This painting was inspired by Ozzie, Ostrich who lives in Ostrich Land in Buellton, California. The Ostrich can run up to fifty-five miles per hour and last almost 30 minutes at that speed. It is the only bird in the world with two toes. The hens lays 40 to 60 eggs per season. The eggs weighs 3 to 4 pounds each. It takes only 42 days for an egg to hatch. These fascinating, regal, majestic creatures have inspired artists for years.
